Hey guys,
This weekend kicks off the start of our qualifying season! I hope everyone plans to attend the show at Carthage! It sounds like it’s going to be a good onethey are already almost sold out of stalls!
As some of you already know, the MQHYA Directors at Large are all in charge of a ‘fun class’ at each qualifying shows. This weekend at Carthage, Shayla Mitchell is in charge of the fun class, I believe she is planning a “Dizzy Cowboy” class! It sounds like a really funny class! I’m looking forward to whatever she has planned!
Unfortunately, my mom isn’t going to be at the show this weekend; she is going to the AQHA Convention in Orlando. Therefore, if you have your letters of intent ready, you can email them to her (themurphybunch@hughes.net), send them in the mail, or give them to me at the show. I will make sure to get them to her. Remember that your points will not start counting towards qualifying for the Youth World Show and/or the NYATT Team until you have turned in your Letter of Intent and Code of Conduct.
The deadline for the Y.E.S. Convention is coming up. It really is a ton of fun and you get to meet a lot of new kids from around the country. I encourage all of you to go. If you would like more information, feel free to shoot my mom or myself an email.
For those of you that are freshmen in high school, remember to fill out your scholarship forms. To be eligible for the Barb Kerber Memorial Scholarship you must fill out the application during your Freshman year of high school. The application form is on our website at www.moqha.com. Also, the deadline to turn in your applications for the Youth World Show Assistance Fund is April 1st. You can find the application and information regarding this AQHA program on the Youth page of www.aqha.com.
I am planning on making another DVD this year to be shown at the convention, and that means I need your pictures! Everyone please send me any and all pictures that are taken at this year’s MQHA Shows. We still have some of the 2009 DVD’s left over---if you want to buy one, contact me to purchase!
I hope everyone is remembering that they need to get their sponsorships! Also, keep selling the Sonic cards.
Again, I hope to see all of you at the show, and I hope that you all have a safe drive there!
Sincerely,
Nick Murphy
