Join us February 18th at 2:00pm!

We are hosting a zoom to finalize our fundraising plans for the year. We will be discussing fundraising, team activities for the year, and much more! We hope to “see” you then!

MQHYA Committees

With the new year, comes new committees! If you are interested in getting more involved, we would love for you to fill out this Committee Form.

Fundraising Committee: Will put plans for fundraising into action (create flyers, call anyone needed for permission, organize all other members during fundraiser, etc.)

Correspondence Committee: Will correspond with anyone needed (thank you notes, contact newspapers/radio stations, help get pics for scrapbook, etc.)

Social Committee: Will put plans into action with any parties or hospitality things (help with shirts and hospitality stall at YW, help with and social media, etc.)

Outreach Committee: Will find ways to reach out and gain membership (talk to FFA/4-H groups, send website to anyone who needs it, have membership applications at the clothing both at shows. etc.)

Letter of Intent

Each year MQHYA forms teams of members to compete at the AQHYA World Championship Show AND National Youth Activity Team Tournament (NYATT) at The Congress. It’s time to start thinking about if this is something that might interest you! You must file a Letter of Intent with MQHYA before your MQHA points count towards qualifying. You can find the 2023 Letter of Intent form attached. Please contact Youth Advisor, Cara Harmon with questions.

Make sure, if you haven’t already, to renew your MQHYA membership for 2023. You can access the link by clicking this membership link.

Finally, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Abigail Eddy, and I am excited to serve as your 2023 MQHYA President. I am 16 years old, live in Rocheport, Missouri, and am currently a Junior at Hickman High School in Columbia. With lots of fundraising ideas, team bonding, and increased youth involvement, I believe this year is going to be one of our best yet! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I am always looking for new ideas on how to make MQHYA that much better!

Sincerely,

Abigail Eddy
