MQHYA Member Spotlight: Willa Bruce

This month, MQHYA is shining our spotlight on Willa Bruce, a seven-year-old from Stockton, Missouri.

Willa competes with her gelding, “Chance”, in the small fry all-around events - showmanship, trail, and horsemanship. Her favorite class is the trail because it is “fun and challenging.” It is truly impressive to watch this young equestrian’s progress as she evolves into an accomplished rider. MQHYA is thrilled to see where your incredible talent leads you, Willa!

The Missouri Quarter Horse Youth Association is much more than just an outlet for competition to Willa, as it is also a family affair and a wonderful opportunity to meet other youth. Willa thoroughly enjoys the time that she is able to spend with her cousins while competing, and she also loves the MQHYA pizza parties!

Some of her favorite things include macaroni and cheese, the color purple, and the movie “Turning Red.”

Wise beyond her years; when faced with obstacles (literal or metaphorical), Willa gives the advice to “keep your head up”. The Missouri Quarter Horse Youth Association is thrilled to have Willa’s participation in competitions, and we are excited to witness her incredible success throughout the rest of this competition season!
